Our series “What makes you crack a smile” highlights the local people, places and events that make our community an enjoyable place to live.

Get your flip-flops and summer ON and find out what makes Lori Berisford, SPHERE President and Chairman of the Board, crack a smile.

Tell us about your favorite summertime destination in Ridgefield

You will usually find me in one of two places in the summer – my backyard (which is my happy place) or at the Ridgefield Playhouse which always has some great shows – from comedians to classic rock (and everything in between!).

What community event do you look forward to attending? How does it make you feel?

My family and I are active in the community, attending many events.  My favorite events are always the fundraisers where the Ridgefield community rallies to support the wonderful non-profit organizations. It’s hard to pick just one, but I do know a lot of the arts organizations are the heart and soul of what makes Ridgefield special.

What summer activity in Ridgefield makes you crack a smile?

While I’m not sure this is a true Ridgefield summer activity, but I am spending time this summer with SPHERE members rehearsing for our live performance at the Ridgefield Playhouse on November 6th.  This year’s show is The Greatest Showman, a show with the message of “Embrace your individuality and be proud of who you are” – I personally could not think of a better show for SPHERE!
