This Sunday the news of superstar Susan Boyle being diagnosed with Aspergers struck a personal note with me. The reason is that she's given me another reason not to let my own Aspergers bring me down. Looking at the AMAZING career Ms. Boyle has and the MILLIONS of records she's sold taught me a valuable lesson that I pray all others who are diagnosed will learn as well. We may struggle to make friends, eye contact may not be our strong suit, getting easily overwhelmed over the littlest thing may happen on occasion and it can be a little bit of a struggle to use exact words to express what we feel -- but we can all be successful no matter what we set our minds too. Don't believe me. Give a listen to Ms. Boyle's beautiful voice and know that you and all that have been diagnosed are now in good company. That's music to my ears.
