Last night, inside the Anne Richardson Auditorium of Ridgefield High School, the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra and SPHERE members defined A World of Possibilities. A virtue achieved through the partnership the two groups have created.

In front of a nearly sold out crowd, SPHERE’s Performing Arts group, under the direction of Kim Pereira, took the stage. Alongside SPHERE members were comrades and supporters from the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance.

With joy, reverence, and enthusiasm, SPHERE became one with the RSO as award-winning composer and musician, Chris Brubeck unveiled his commissioned piece written for the RSO, Sphere of Influence. Guest conductor Barbara Yahr added passion and vibrance to the absolutely stunning musical ensemble.

Four large, gold balloons were carried on stage – first L, followed by O, the V, and finally E. SPHERE members joyfully revealed what each letter meant to them, completing Sphere of Influence with the words “Everlasting Love.” The audience, so moved, stood, clapped, and wiped the tears off their face.

“I had tears in my eyes. It really was amazing. Kim is just so special, I just can’t even begin to tell you how far she has taken this group,” said SPHERE Chairman of the Board, Lori Berisford.

“A huge shoutout of thanks to Chris, [RSO Executive Director] Laurie Kenagy and RSO for continuing to foster a wonderful partnership with SPHERE,” adds Berisford.
